LE PEDIMOS DE FAVOR NO TRAER NIÑOS A LA FORMACIÓN PRE-BAUTISMAL

 

1. PARA CELEBRAR EL SACRAMENTO DEL BAUTISMO EN LA PARROQUIA INMACULADA CONCEPCIÓN CINCO SANTOS MARTIRES:

 

• Al menos uno de los padres debe estar Bautizado.

• Al menos un mes Antes del bautismo, padres y padrinos deben asistir a la Formación Pre-Bautismal.

     (El papá o la mamá del niño(a) necesita llamar a la oficina para registrarse a la clase que es obligatoria para padres y padrinos).

•  La formación pre-bautismal tiene una duración de una a dos horas y se lleva a cabo en lunes a las 7:00PM
en la cafetería 2745 44th St. (Llamar a la oficina para ver las fechas).

•  La formación pre-bautismal es válida por un (1) año.

• Si los padrinos o padres viven en diferente ciudad, pueden asistir a la Formación Pre-Bautismal en la parroquia a la que asisten a misa y traer el comprobante. También necesita traer una carta de su párroco dándoles permiso de bautizar en la Parroquia Inmaculada Concepción.

 

2. PARA SER ADMITIDO COMO PADRINO O MADRINA DEL SACRAMENTO DEL BAUTISMO:

 

•  Personas que sean modelo de fe para su hijo(a)

•  Debe ser mayor de 16 años.

•  Los padrinos deben ser católicos practicantes, que asistan a misa los domingos y hayan recibido los Sacramentos de Iniciación Cristiana (Bautismo, Comunión y Confirmación). Los No católicos son admitidos solo como testigos, NO como padrinos. (La razón es porque durante el rito del Bautismo se hace la Profesión de Fe Católica. Por lo tanto, la parte no católica, no puede profesar lo que no cree).

•  La Iglesia pide un solo padrino o una sola madrina o uno y una (Si elige dos, necesita ser un hombre y una mujer).

•  No se acepta padrino o madrina de diferentes parejas. Y si son pareja, que estén casados válidamente por la Iglesia (Es necesario mantener la unidad de la pareja. En este caso, no es permitido que una persona casada apadrine junto con una persona soltera. Mantengamos la integridad de la familia y el matrimonio).

• Recuerde que los padrinos, no deben estar afectados por una pena canónica. (Ejemplos, vivir en unión li-bre, o casado(a) sólo al civil. Si vive con su pareja, debe estar casado(a) por la Iglesia Católica).

 

3. DESPUÉS DE HABER PARTICIPADO EN LA FORMACIÓN PRE-BAUTISMAL:

 

• Favor de pasar a la oficina parroquial por lo menos tres semanas antes de la fecha en la cual planea bautizar.

• Presentar el comprobante de asistencia de la Formación Pre-Bautismal de papás y padrinos. (Si no trae estos documentos no podrá reservar la fecha de bautismo. No habrá excepciones).

• Presentar certificado de nacimiento del niño(a), expedido por la CORTE. (Es requisito de la Arquidiócesis de Chicago que se presente el acta de nacimiento del niño(a) que se va a bautizar para que tanto la información del bautismo como la del acta de nacimiento coincidan y no tengan problemas en el futuro).
• Presentar certificado de Matrimonio por la Iglesia de los padrinos si son pareja, y si son solteros y no conviven con nadie, presentar una identificación valida.

 

4. ESCOGER FECHA DE BAUTISMO:

 

• Los bautismos son el primer y tercer SÁBADO del mes a las 10:00 de la mañana. (no hay bautismos durante la Cuaresma). En días festivos estos días pueden variar. Por favor llame con tiempo a la oficina.

• Favor de reservar la fecha por lo menos con tres semanas de anticipación.

•  Hay un límite de 8 niñ@s cada sábado

• Se les pide que dejen la donación de $100 en su totalidad el día que reservan la fecha del bautismo.

1. TO CELEBRATE THE SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM AT IMMACULATE CONCEPTION-FIVE HOLY MARTYRS:

 

• At least one parent must be baptized.

• At least one month before the baptism, parents and godparents must assist the pre-baptismal formation. (The mother or father of the boy/girl must call the office to be registered for the class, this class is mandatory for parents and godparents)

• The pre-baptismal formation will last up to 2 hours and the class is on a Monday at 7:00 pm in the cafeteria. Call the office to find out the dates of the classes.

• The pre-baptismal formation certificate is valid for up to one year.

• If the godparents or parents do not live in the city, they may assist the pre-baptismal formation at the parish where they assist mass and bring proof. They must also bring a letter from the pastor of their parish stating they can baptize somewhere else outside of their parish.

 

2. TO BE A GODPARENT FOR THE SACRAMAMENT OF BAPTISM THEY MUST:

 

• Be a model figure for your daughter or son.

• Be at least 16 years old.

• Be practicing Catholics that assist to Sunday mass and have received the sacraments for Christian initiation (Baptism, First Communion & Confirmation). The non-Catholics are admitted only as witnesses, NOT as godparents. (The reason is during the Baptism Sacrament we do the catholic profession of faith. So, someone who is not catholic cannot say they are if they do not practice it).

• The church asks for ONE Godfather or ONE Godmother or both. (If you choose two, they must be male and female).

We do not accept godparents from different relationships. If they are living together, they must be married by the catholic church (We must always keep family integrity and marriage.)

• Must not have any canonical penalties. (Example, Living together, civil marriage only. If they are married, must be married by the Catholic Church).

 

3. ONCE YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE PRE-BAPTISMAL FORMATION THE FATHER OR MOTHER SHOULD:

 

• Go to the parish office with the other necessary documents for registration to reserve your baptism date three weeks in advance after taking the class.

• Present the certificate of the pre-baptismal formation of parents and godparents. (If one does not bring this required docu-ment, we will not be able to reserve a spot for the baptism: NO EXCEPTIONS).

• Present birth certificate of the child given by the court. (It is required by the archdiocese of Chicago for us to have a copy of the birth certificate of the child that is going to be baptized so the information of the baptism certificate and birth certificate are the same information and not to have problems in the future).

• Present certificate of the matrimony by the church of the godparents if they are together, if they are single, they must present an ID.

 

4. CHOOSING THE DATE:

 

• Baptisms are every 1st & 3rd Saturday at 10:00am. (There are no baptisms during lent). Dates can change if there is a holiday.
• Call the office to verify a date. If you are looking for a Baptism in English, call the office.

• Please reserve the spot three weeks in advance (preferably after the orientation)

• There is a limit of 8 children for Saturday.

• We ask you to pay the fee of $100 in full at the time of registering the baptism.
